Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is located on the southeast fringe of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, at the junction of the four provincial-level divisions of Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet and Qinghai. It is praised as the Last Shangri-La.


July to September is the best time to visit Ganzi because its attractions are most engrossing at this time of the year. A pleasant temperature, ranging between 14 and 24 with occasional snowfalls, is another plus for Ganzi as a summer destination. [China.org.cn]
