Photo taken on Sept. 4, 2016 shows a tourist boat sailing on the West Lake in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province. The West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou, embraced by cloud-capped hills on three sides and divided into several parts by picturesque causeways, presents a delicate scenery featuring overlapping peaks and scattering temples, pagodas, pavilions, gardens, ornamental trees, and artificial islands, adding beauty to the city of Hangzhou. It was inscribed by the World Heritage Committee on UNESCO's World Heritage List as a cultural property in Paris on June 24, 2011. The beauty of the West Lake had always been the subject of poems and paintings in the past hundreds of years. The love legends of "The Butterfly Lovers" and "The Legend of the White Snake" originating here also add to it an aura of romance. In spring, fresh buds sprout from trees and warm air breezes; in summer, lakes are covered with lotus leaves and mountains are painted green; in autumn, golden shades spread over the waters; then in winter, the sky and the water merge in snow white. People will always find a different West Lake that constantly changes with seasons. (Xinhua/Xu Yu)
