Neary 10,000 candles lit at EmeI Mountain to pray for blessings

A massive religious rite was held on February 10 at Emei Mountain for people to pray for blessings. Nearly 10,000 Buddhist masters, lay Buddhists, tourists and local citizens attended the ceremony. They recited the blessings after a senior monk and then had their candles placed lotus-shaped candleholders lit up. The ceremony was held annually to worship Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.
