In Hailuo Valley, where average temperature is as cold as 10 degree centigrade all year round, has many hot spring pools of various temperatures with the hottest ones being 83 degree centigrade.

The mouth of the hot spring, classified as neutral sodium carbonate and calcium bicarbonate thermal spring, is halfway up the hill.

The hot spring water there, crystal clear, odorless, clean and pollution free, is effective in treating skin diseases, arthritis and other diseases and helping tourists recover from fatigue.

Surrounded by virgin forests and with mountains on three sides, the hot spring pours down like a waterfall, forming a scene rarely seen in the world.

Nearby there is calcified mountain slopes.

The hot air from the hot spring pools and the hot spring itself is like a filmy veil over the surrounding virgin forests.

At the turn of the spring when temperature fluctuates sharply, there can also be seen a thick layer of snow and 1-meter-plus-long icicles hanging from the eaves.

While bathing in a pool, tourists can sometimes see squirrels looking for food nearby.

Hailuo Valley, located on the eastern side of Gonggar Mountain in Luding County of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, is well-known for its typical low-altitude modern marine glaciers.
