There are always people who wonder why Shiqu, a cold small town in West Sichuan Plateau, is worth visiting. There are multiple reasons. It boasts a long history, rich Tibetan Buddhist culture, famous national-level intangible cultural heritage, and the largest livestock raising area in Sichuan. It is dubbed “the world’s most beautiful wetland,””the Kingdom of Stone Carving,” and “the Tribe of the Sun.”It is a holy place still in its pristine state, arousing people’s desire to lift its mysterious veil.
