Dechang County is the southern gate to Liangshan and occupies a strategic position down the golden tourist route of Sichuan and Yunnan. Chengdu-Kunming Rail Line, 108 National Road, G5 Beijing-Kunming Highway run through it.

Resources for agricultural eco tours are concentrated here. There are places of interest like Luoji Mountain, Wangsuo Stone Grave Cluster, Kuixing Pavilion, Yuku Tower, Laoying Gully and Dawan Heilong Lake.

Orchards of pomegranate, longan, mulberry, strawberry, Chinese chestnut, honey peach and pear in 13 towns and townships are worth sightseeing.

There are also a number of national A-level scenic areas such as Lisu Water Village, Banshan Yinxiang Ecological Park, Luoji Sunshine Resort and Hanshen Rose Manor.

Dechang has the largest Lisu ethnic community in Sichuan. The ethic group’s unique singing and dancing, costumes and folk customs are of high tourist value.

Dechang will prioritize tourism in its future development and vigorously implement the Tourism Plus strategy. Luoji Mountain and Anning River will lead in local tourism development.
