Chengdu solicits public opinion on design of sightseeing bus, routes
Chengdu is soliciting public opinion on the preliminary design plan for the city's sightseeing bus and tourist routes.
On Dec. 21, the Transport Committee of Chengdu, Chengdu Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Culture and Tourism Development Group jointly unveiled the plan, which calls for citizens' participation in voting for their favorite double-decker tourist bus models, decoration schemes and routes.
Citizens can cast their vote for one of the following three sightseeing bus model designs: Chinese red with strong visual impact, modern design featuring Chengdu's culture and panda, panda-themed abstract design.

Voters can also choose two from the following six decoration schemes: 1) Panda icon in cartoon style; 2) Panda + bamboo elements; 3) Panda + Sanxingdui Cultural elements; 4) Panda + Sichuan Cuisine and tea culture elements; 5) Panda + Sichuan Opera elements; 6) Panda + local dialect elements.
