Located in Heishui county, Aba Tibetan and Qiang prefecture, Dagu Glacier nature reserve is among the most appealing of Sichuan’s rich variety of natural attractions.
Besides magnificent glacier landform and the breathtaking view of clear lake waters among snow-capped mountain ranges, the scenic site also provides opportunity to explore traditional Tibetan lifestyles and rich biodiversity including rare species such as Tibetan macaque, located 260 kilometers away from Chengdu, capital of Sichuan in southwestern China.
Through a cableway, visitors are able to ascend to nearly 5,000 meters above sea level where they can admire breathtaking views of the Quaternary glaciation while enjoying a hot, steaming coffee at what is said to be the loneliest caffeine in the world.
