The third China’s Tea Town-Mount Emei International Tea Culture Exhibition will take place in Emeishan city, a county-level city in Leshan, from July 6 to 9, announced a recent press conference.

It has been confirmed that 205 domestic companies and 59 overseas enterprises will showcase their competitive products. 185 international buyers will participate in the expo as well, including ones from Russia, India, New Zealand, Italy, the U.S. and Australia.

Rich varieties of products will be on show, including tea, tea sets, and peripherals such as food and garment at 173 booths at a 26,000 square meters exhibition area. The exhibitions will also promote tea culture by introducing the origin and development of tea production.

To further promote the profound tea culture, the expo will include various cultural demonstrations, promote major tea producing regions and introduce tourism routes that explore the tea culture.

A tea contest will be held as a part of a broader contest covering the Asia Pacific region, organized by the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation and other authoritative organizations.

The first China (Mount Emei) international trade fair for tea will take place during the expo as well.

This year’s expo is organized by the provincial agriculture department, foreign and overseas Chinese affairs office, and expo affairs bureau of Sichuan and the government of Leshan city, and is supported by the China Tea Marketing Association and the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation.
