Located in Ningcheng County of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Zhongjing was one of the five capitals of the Liao Dynasty (916AD-1125AD). Zhongjing was built from the 21st year (1003AD) to the 25th year of the Tonghe reign. The city had a Dadingfu (a government office), where Liao emperors received envoys from the Song Dynasty (960AD-1279AD). [zhengyan.blshe.com]
