Located east of the Chengde Mountain Resort in Hebei Province, the Pule Temple (Temple of Universal Happiness) is one of the eight outlying temples of the resort. It was built in 1766 as requested by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), showing the central government's respect for minorities. [Jinchengxiaoniu/bbs.fengniao.com]
