Arktek Passive Vaccine Storage Device, hailed as the “keg of life” by Bill Gates, is one of AUCMA’s major achievements as it forayed into medical cold chain.

Since 2011, with breakthroughs in technology, technique and design, AUCMA has become a world’s leader in the research and application of technologies ranging from intelligent control, cryogenic quick freezing and cryopreservation to precise temperature control. So far it has launched 20 product lines covering over 100 specifications and models, including storage devices for drugs, storage devices for vaccines, low-temperature storage devices, ultra-low storage devices, cryogenic storage devices and modular storage devices. Such a business portfolio completes the company’s general plan for the product lines of biological cold chain and ULT cold chain.

One hundred -86℃ ULT refrigerators made by AUCMA were shipped from Qingdao to Lhasa this August, crossing 4000 km within 6 days. Sponsored by China National GeneBank, BGI, AUCMA and ZJS Express, the 100 donated refrigerators marked the first shipment of ULT refrigerators to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in large quantities. They will be used for storing test samples of hydatidosis, a type of disease endangering the health of farmers and herdsmen in Tibet for later screening.

“As one of our core products in the ULT product line, the donated refrigerators passed the IEC and CE certification and obtained 13 national invention patents and utility model patents. Equipped with ultra quiet cascade refrigeration system, fluoride-free refrigerant and a variety of protection and alarm systems, these refrigerators are widely used in hospitals, blood banks, centers for disease control and prevention, research institutions as well as medical and life science laboratories for the storage of viruses, bacteria, red blood cells, white blood cells, skin and bones, ” said Zhang Bin, general manager of AUCMA Ltd.
