The biennial Golden Phoenix Award – also known as the China Film Performance Art Academy Award – hosted its 16th award ceremony in Qingdao West Coast New Area, Qingdao, Shandong on Sept 3.
It was the sixth of the award ceremony hosted in Qingdao since 2007.
Ge You, the Best Actor Award winner of the 1994 Cannes Film Festival for a role in Zhang Yimou’s To Live, graced the ceremony at the Lingshan Wan Film and Television Industrial Park.
A 2,000-square-meter state-of-the-art studio at the park witnessed the Society Award went to 11 actors and actresses for their outstanding performances.
The Academy also honored five emerging performers with New Actors Award, and another 13 performers with Honorary Award.
Three senior performers received Lifetime Achievement Award.
