Serene Tangdao Bay an offers a beautiful sight

Dating back four or five years, Tangdao Bay is not known to most Qingdao residents. But now the beautiful bay has become one of the most popular places for leisure and recreation in the city.

As part of the Fenghuang Dao tourism resort, the bay area has developed rapidly into a multi-function community, integrating high rises, parks, and residential buildings with good living environment on the banks.

The area also offers breathtaking seaside views and a chance to peek into the lifestyle of the fishermen’s at the small villages located next to the outlet of the bay.

On weekends the place attracts large crowds of local citizens and college students who come to the area for cycling, walking, sightseeing and other recreational activities. A place where spectacular lighting arrays are staged nightly has turned into a popular rendezvous for young couples.

An exquisite, small island is especially worthy of a visit, located merely 500 meters away from the north bank of the bay. At 11 hectares, the Niudao Island boasts a 90 percent of vegetation, offering a soothing view.
