The Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone demonstrated its strengths in grapheme technology by organizing a delegation to the 2017 International Graphene Innovation Conference in Nanjing, Jiangsu, late September.
10 plus graphene companies from the zone took part in the event, showcasing competitive products and exchanging ideas with international peers, in a bid to attract potential business partners.
The Qingdao high-tech zone set out to develop the graphene industry, a new and emerging sector, in 2013, and now it is home to more than 50 companies, which are either operating or being hatched at the zone. A number of famous graphene companies have emerged, including ReaLeader Advanced Materials and Qingdao Huagao Graphene Technology.
As resident companies make breakthroughs in graphene application, including in anticorrosive coating, tire production, and thermal management material, the zone has been designated as a national industrial base for grapheme and advanced carbon material. China’s first international grapheme innovation center and the first graphene industry innovation demonstration site in northern China have been built there.
