Longquan, an auto town in Jimo District of Qingdao, is going all-out to be a 100-million-yuan auto industry cluster.

The cluster project has become a powerful engine for regional economic development. So far, the Qingdao Auto City, with Longquan as the core area, has attracted 119 key auto projects involving a total investment of 49 billion yuan.

The auto town is planned to have three “cores,” namely country, industry and ecology.

Such a “triple-core” development mode is aimed at achieving economic development without damaging the environment as well as coordinating the secondary and tertiary industries with the primary industry.

It will also explore and promote integrated development of different sectors, improve factors allocation and gather new growth drivers.
