Qingdao builds pepper town in E China

With 6-billion-yuan investment, Qingdao is building a pepper industry center in Jiaolai town, Jiaozhou city.
The construction of the exhibition center that is included in the first phase of construction started on Nov. 2.
The whole project is expected to complete in 2019, and it will include a site for a world pepper conference, a gallery for showcasing pepper culture, a pepper museum and a trading center for spices and condiments.
The pepper industry center will integrate logistics, trading, research and development, and culture and creativity.
