Qingdao city in Shandong province ranked first in the sub-provincial city category in the 16th government website performance evaluation in China with a score of 92.4.
According to the results released in Beijing on Nov. 17, Qingdao, winning the position nine times in a row, was followed by Chengdu, in West China’s Sichuan province, and Shenzhen, in South China’s Guangdong province.
In recent years, the Qingdao government website (Qingdao.gov.cn) has published 131,000 posts of government information, 1,300 posts explaining government policies, and 1,034 data sets of government statistics.
The government conducted 3,700 online consultations via the website and responded to 120,000 questions raised by netizens. Various government departments handled 11,000 requests for information disclosure and replied 420,000 letters from citizens online.
