The Qingdao alliance of multimodal transportation was established on Nov. 29, as the first regional association of such kind in China.
The alliance has 44 member organizations covering ports, airports, railway stations, logistics administrations, shippers, and research and education facilities.
The alliance plans to set up a mechanism for inter-sector coordination; create a set of indexes for enterprises and government agencies to consult; come up with favorable policies to attract floating cargoes from a wider world; push for integration of ports and logistics industrial parks; build an industrial cluster of logistics, manufacturing and commerce to accelerate industrial upgrading; and organize exchange events to promote development in the industry.
