France's interior ministry has released footage of the ongoing search mission for the second Germanwings "black box" and passenger DNA samples.
The images show recovery workers looking through the wreckage of the plane to find the still elusive flight recorder. Officials say the object is crucial, because it reveals what happened to the plane in it's final moments.
Since the crash, several airlines including Lufthansa, have changed their regulations, and now require two crew members in the cockpit at all times.
Lieutenant-Colonel Thierry Laforet, who works in the Air Transport Police Service, said clues in the debris may lead them to discovering the second blackbox.
"On the site here we've found bits of the jet...the stabilisers, and obviously the fuselage... at the moment we're looking for the second black box which is the FDR, the digital flight data recorder which is made of electronic components, and records all the data from the flight, and is very important for the rest of the investigation," Laforet said.
