Reconstruction work began Tuesday in Yushu county in northwestern China's Qinghai Province, which was jolted by a 7.1-magnitude earthquake on April 14.
Governor Luo Huining announced the start of the reconstruction program Tuesday morning when a foundation-laying ceremony was held for the new neighborhood of Trangu and Ganda villages, Gyegu Town.
Most of structures in Gyegu Town of Yushu county, which was the epicenter of the quake, were destructed. |
