A senior Communist Party of China (CPC) leader on Thursday called for educating the public about the Party's agenda for China's development in the next five years.
Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting in Beijing where officials made arrangements for cultural and ideological work in 2011.
In a plenary session last October, the CPC Central Committee set the agenda for China's 12th five-year development program (2011-2015), with key objectives in economic restructuring and raising living standards throughout the country.
Efforts must be made to educate the public on the agenda set at the plenary session in order to encourage the public to make a greater contribution to the development program, he said.
