Three scenic spots, Dujiang Weir, Qingcheng Mountain and Wuhou Temple, in Sichuan Province will offer free shuttle bus service to tourists commuting between Shuangliu International Airport and the three areas, the travel bureau of Dujiangyan told the Global Times Thursday.

Lu Hongbin, administration chief of Dujiangyan Travel Bureau said tourists can board on the bus at Shuangliu airport after purchasing a scenic spot ticket at the special travel information desk installed at the airport. With the ticket, tourists will enjoy the privilege of free bus service back to the airport.

Besides the bonus service, Qingcheng Mountain Scenic Area will offer a two-day tour instead of the present one-day tour, and visitors can enter the spot during the two days without entry limits since May 4th.

The tourist center of Dujiangyan Travel Bureau told the Global Times that it will not raise the ticket fee despite the free transport service, but that the move is a bid for drawing more tourists to the areas after it was affected by the earthquake of 2008. Statistics show that the city of Dujiangyan, which boasts the Dujiang Weir and Qingcheng Mountain, achieved a historical tourism income of over 5 billion yuan (over $760 million) in 2010.
