As the highlight of the on-going Beijing International Film Festival, the promotional fair for film industry-related projects kicked off on Sunday.

Fifty-six domestic and 44 overseas exhibitors, including the 20th Century Fox, Tokyo International Film Festival and other world famous film companies and institutions, attended the fair, said the organizing committee of the festival.

The three-day fair is aimed to provide a communication platform for the creativity, scripting, technology and related products of the film industry.

The First Beijing International Film Festival, April 23 to 28, was organized by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) and the Beijing Municipal Government.

The festival also seeks to provide a platform for world filmmakers and film festival chairmen to discuss the developments of the industry, for film buyers and sellers to share business opportunities, and for foreigners to learn more about Beijing.
