Top 10 Chinese celebrities who died young

From Bruce Lee to Leslie Cheung, to Teresa Teng and Anita Mui, they are unquestionably the most famous super stars in China. However, they all died at the peak of their life and career.

While they may have passed on at an early age, their brilliant artistic legacy continues to live on.

Here China.org.cn has picked the top 10 Chinese celebrities who died young.

Age of Death: 42

Fu Biao (Sept. 27, 1963-Aug. 30, 2005) was a well-known Chinese actor known for portraying the nobody and good men. Unlike those who bloom at an early age, Fu established his name in his 30's. He made his debut in the Shanghai Triad by the famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou in 1995, and became a well-recognized actor in China.

With ordinary physical appearance, Fu's acting, diligence and dedication made him a popular actor among the audiences. Fu was awarded the 21st Golden Rooster Award for Best Supporting Actor due to his outstanding performance in the Escort. He died of liver cancer in Beijing on Aug. 30, 2005 after a second failed liver transplant.
