Suicide top cause of death among young Chinese

  Every year about 250,000 people committed suicide in China. Killing oneself has become the top cause of death among people aged 15 to 34, a survey says.	北京回龙观医院与国家疾控中心的一项调查结果显示，我国每年约有25万人死于自杀，自杀成为15岁到34岁的青壮年人群的首位死因。
  The research, conducted by the Beijing Huilongguan Hospital and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, concluded that depression is the chief cause of the suicides, increasing risk of suicide by as much as 20 times, while anxiety disorder ups the risk by 6 to 10 times and alcohol abuse by 6 times.	其中，抑郁障碍是导致自杀的首位原因，可使自杀的危险性增加20倍，焦虑障碍使自杀的危险增加6到10倍。酒精滥用或依赖的自杀危险增加6倍。
  People with physical ailments are more likely to be depressed, making them a high risk group for suicide. (China.org.cn September 8, 2011)	患有严重躯体疾病的患者，很容易引起抑郁情绪，是自杀的高危人群。
