The Spanish Football League (LFP) on Friday announced the kick-off time for the first "clasico" this season between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
The eagerly-awaiting game between the two superpowers in Spain will be played in Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Nov. 10.
The decision by the LFP puts an end to speculation that the "clasico" could be played at midday in order to be shown on prime-time television in Asia. Real Madrid's home game against Osasuna two weeks ago was played in front of a packed house in the Bernabeu and the experiment was considered to be a total success.
Real Madrid currently have a three point lead over Barcelona in the BBVA Primera Liga, but have been unable to beat the reigning Spanish and European Champions in La Liga since the 2007-2008 season, although they did beat Barcelona in the final of last season's Copa del Rey.
Barcelona enjoyed the last laugh, however, knocking Madrid out of the semifinal of the Champions League, before defeating Manchester United in the final last May.
