China believes that the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation will maintain good development momentum in a sustainable and healthy way, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Monday.
Spokesman Hong Lei made the remarks at a daily press conference when asked for China's comment on Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's acceptance of the ruling United Russia party's nomination to run in the country's presidential election in March.
Putin accepted the nomination on Sunday.
