Macao recorded a total of 324,394 tourist arrivals over New Year holidays, according to the figures released on Wednesday by the Immigration Department of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).
The figures showed that the number of tourist arrivals from Jan. 1 to 3 was 8.06 percent more than that of the same period of last year.
During the period, some 1.1 million visitors crossed Macao's seven immigration checkpoints, with the total visitor arrival standing at 552,465 while departure standing at 553,758, according to the Immigration Department.
Macao's Border-gate checkpoint, which links the SAR with the Chinese mainland, logged the largest number of border movements, with arrivals and departures standing at 414,426 and 415,300, respectively, according to the Department.
