US actor Tom Cruise is set to receive the Friars Club's Entertainment Icon Award.
The 'Rock of Ages' actor will become only the fourth person ever to be presented with the award.
He will pick up the gong at the Friars Foundation Gala in New York on June 12th.
Hollywood legends Douglas Fairbanks, Cary Grant and Frank Sinatra, have already obtained the foundation's Entertainment Icon Award.
The Friars Club was founded in 1904 and provides a haven for some of the industry's most note-worthy figures.
The club also aims to secure a future generation of performers and artists by granting scholarships to students in the performing arts.
