Chinese automaker BAIC Motor has assembled its first mass-produced all-electric Sport Utility Vehicle.

The all-electric SUV, EX200, can drive for 200 kilometers on a single charge.

It only takes half an hour to charge to 80 percent of battery capacity in the fast-charging mode.

China is to launch a nationwide carbon emissions trading market in 2017.

The Vice President of BAIC says the electric cars will be an important part of the carbon emission trading market.
