Since December 2016, 240 million cubic meters of water has been transferred to Xiongan New Area via the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. Among the sum, 16 million cubic meters of water for domestic and industrial use has been transferred to three water plants located in Xiong county, Anxin county, and Rongcheng county. Meanwhile, 228 million cubic meters of water has been used to replenish Baiyang Lake, helping to secure water resources and improve the water ecology and the environment in Xiongan New Area.
