More than 50 Asian party leaders visited the Xixian New Area on May 29, 2013, on the sidelines of the ICAPP Special Conference held in Xi'an from May 30-31. The Xixian New Area is an ecological development zone featuring urban and rural integration in Xi'an of northwestern China's Shaanxi Province. It aims to become a modern farmland city based on a convenient transportation network, charming towns, urban agriculture and a brilliant historical culture.
