The Rostov-on-Don submarine is launched by Russia's Admiralty Shipyard in St. Petersburg on June 26, 2014. The Rostov-on-Don, the second diesel-electric submarine of the 636.6 project is built for the Russian Black Sea Fleet. According to Russian media, the submarine has advanced stealth technology, which makes it undetectable when submerged. Construction of Rostov-on-Don started in November 2011.
