Indonesian divers on Sunday managed to detect the presence of a Black Box of the AirAsia plane that crashed into the Java Sea at the depth of about 30 to 32 meters under the sea, but were unable to retrieve it so far, the Transport Ministry said in a statement on its website.

The team of divers from the Navy in Jadayat state have succeeded in finding the location of the black box of AirAsia QZ8501, the statement said quoting Tonny Budiono, a senior official from the ministry.

Divers will on Monday try to shift the position of the wreckage to access the black box, and if the operation is not successful, the team will then lift part of the fuselage using the balloon technique, he added.
