At least 10 people were killed and 13 were injured after a Greek F16 jet crashed on Monday at the airbase of Los Llanos in the central province of Albacete, in Spain, the Spanish Defense Ministry reported.

The accident happened at around 15:18 local time (1418 GMT), when the fighter jet was taking off and crashed against other aircraft that were ready to take off in the parking zone of Los Llanos, a fact that could have caused fours explosions according to local media.
The Greek F16 was in Spain because Los Llanos airbase is taking part in NATO's Tactical Leadership Program (TLP) in which 750 people participate, including pilots and maintenance service.
The Spanish Air Force (JEMA) chief of staff, Francisco Javier Garcia Arnaiz, headed to the site, where firemen, ambulances and helicopters are working.
