In order to provide better service to the visa applicants, the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon set up Friday the China Visa Application Center in Beirut to handle the daily routine work of processing ordinary visa applications to China.

The inauguration of the visa center was attended by Wang Kejian, China's Ambassador to Lebanon.

Wang said during the ceremony "in recent years the relationship between Lebanon and China has been developing very fast. The cooperation between the two countries in the fields of politics, economy and trade education has been increasingly close, and the embassy now issues around 10 thousand visas per year for Lebanese applicants who want to visit China."

He added "in order to improve our visa services for Lebanese applicants, we decided to open this center to facilitate the processing of visas for Lebanese wishing to visit China."
