An earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Koohbanan region in Iran's Kerman Province at 8:34 p.m. local time (1704 GMT), Iran Seismological Center said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, is at 31.38 degrees north latitude and 56.28 degrees east longitude.
Seyyed Mostafa Atatollahi Mousavi, the chief of Crisis Bureau of Kerman Province, said there has been no report of casualties so far, but the tremor has caused damage to the old buildings in Koohbanan, official IRNA news agency reported.
On Wednesday night, an earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale shook Malard town in Iran's Tehran Province, which was felt in the capital as well as the provinces of Alborz, Qazvin, Ghilan and Qom.
The quake injured at least 50, forcing the residents of the capital to spend nights on the streets and in the parks.
