A senior adviser to Iran's supreme leader on Wednesday dismissed some "interferences" in the country's developing missile program.
Iran's missile program does not concern other countries as it is a domestic issue, Ali Akbar Velayati told reporters following a meeting with the visiting European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman David McAllister.
"Iran develops its defense system in proportion to national interests," Velayati said, adding that likewise, missiles are "deterrence tools" for the Islamic republic.
"We do not allow others to interfere" in the country's defense programs, he emphasized.
The Iranian officials have reiterated that the Islamic republic will never negotiate over its missile program under U.S. pressures.
