Senior Chinese officials met with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas over bilateral relations in Beijing on Monday.
When meeting with Maas, Chinese Vice Premier Liu He said that since China and Germany launched an all-dimensional strategic partnership in 2014, the two countries have seen frequent high-level exchanges, and significantly enhanced political mutual trust.
Liu, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, hoped the two sides could seize the opportunity to continuously expand win-win cooperation in various areas, improve international economic governance, and enhance the wellbeing of the two peoples and people of the world.
Maas said the German side attaches great importance to developing ties with China, appreciates China's policy of further opening up, and stands ready to deepen bilateral practical cooperation and jointly safeguard the global multilateral system.
Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, also met with Maas on Monday.
