The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a Shiite militia group, on Saturday claimed responsibility for four drone attacks on Israeli targets.

The group said in separate statements that its fighters launched three drone attacks at dawn on sites in northern Israel, including one in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, and a fourth attack on a site in southern Israel.

It did not specify the affected sites or report any casualties.

Since the onset of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has conducted multiple attacks on Israeli and U.S. targets in the region to show its support for the Palestinians in Gaza.

The group has recently escalated its attacks on Israel amid ongoing intensive Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon.
