Three civilians were killed and three others injured on Wednesday when an Israeli airstrike hit a three-story building in the Mazzeh Western Villas neighborhood of Syria's capital Damascus, the Syrian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The attack, which also inflicted property damage, was launched from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, according to the ministry.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war monitor, claimed that the targeted building was frequented by members of Hezbollah and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The neighborhood, which houses several diplomatic missions and high-profile residences, has been targeted in past strikes as it is believed to host commanders of Iranian and Palestinian factions.
On Tuesday morning, an Israeli attack on the neighborhood killed three civilians and injured nine others.
