UN peacekeeping chief says no plan B other than Annan's

DAMASCUS, July 26 (Xinhua) -- UN peacekeeping chief says there is no "plan B" other than the peace plan brokered by special envoy Kofi Annan, adding that the UN Supervision Mission in Syria ( UNSMIS) is committed to the Annan plan.

In a briefing on Thursday, Herve Ladsous said that the solution to the months-long crisis is "Syrian".

He said that half of the observers have left Syria "temporarily, " adding that they would come back if there was a cessation of violence. Enditem
