5 killed in traffic accident in eastern Turkey

ANKARA, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and another injured in a traffic accident in eastern Turkey on Friday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

A truck turned over as the driver lost control of the direction with high speed on Van-Ercis highway in Van province, leaving five people dead and one person injured, according to the report.

The injured was taken to a university hospital for treatment, said the report. Enditem
