25 injured in wasp sting in western Japan
OSAKA, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- At least 25 people, many of them high school students, were treated for wasp stings in the western Japanese prefecture of Yamaguchi on Thursday, local media reported.
The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. local time when students were walking to school near the embankment of a local river in Iwakuni City.
After receiving an emergency call, teams of local fire stations carried 24 students and a passer-by to hospitals in the city. The conditions of the injured became stable by noon after treatment.
