U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived at Western Australia's capital Perth for an important annual Australia-U.S. Ministerial Consultation (AUSMIN).
Clinton was met at the airport by Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr, Defense Minister Stephen Smith, ambassador to the U.S. Kim Beazley and Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett.
Perth is an eerie sight with roads blocked throughout the city and heavy restrictions in place with Perth's international airport under massive security and surveillance.
AUSMIN is the highest-level forum for Australia and U.S. consultation on foreign policy, defense and strategic issues.
Clinton will meet Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard later on Tuesday. Endi
