Foreign Ministers from 15 Arab countries and territories together with a high level of delegates expressed Saturday their support for the Palestinians after a UN vote which granted Palestine the status of a non-member observer state.

The Arab foreign ministers and delegates discussed the way to increase the cooperation in security, economy, culture, and social areas in the region, on the occasion of the fifth meeting of Turkish-Arab Cooperation Forum at the level of Foreign Affairs Ministers.

"The condition for a permanent peace in the region is to help the Palestinians reach their rights and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state," Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu addressed to the delegates at his opening speech.

"The day when Palestine gets into the UN as a member, the international community's debt to the Palestinians arising from conscience and legal as well as political responsibilities will end," Davutoglu said. Endi
