At least three people were killed and 18 others were injured when a truck went upside down on Saturday in Cambodia's Koh Kong province, about 271 kilometers southwest of Phnom Penh, police said.
The accident happened at 04:30 p.m. local time as the truck which carries construction workers traveled from Phnom Penh to Koh Kong province, said provincial police chief Khet Somvean. "Three men were killed immediately and 18 others were injured when the truck overturned,"he told Xinhua by phone.
The accident was caused due to the truck's broken brake when it drove down a hilly road, he said.
Road accidents killed at least 1,589 people and injured 6,114 others in Cambodia in the first 10 months of 2012, according to a report of the Interior Ministry. Endi
