Avalanche kills 1 Iranian in southeastern Turkey

The body of an Iranian was pulled out Saturday after an avalanche fell in southeastern Turkey, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

Search and rescue teams said they had found a body of the Iranian person named Mohammad who was trapped under the snow in Asagi Kayalar village in Semdinli town of Hakkari province, according to the report.

The body has been sent to Semdinli State Hospital's morgue, said the report.

On Friday, the teams also found a body of a Turk who was also trapped under the avalanche. Endi
