Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed Tuesday the conclusion by a Bulgarian committee that Hezbollah had masterminded the Burgas terror attack that killed five Israeli tourists.
Netanyahu thanked the Bulgarian government for completing its investigation, calling upon European leaders to "learn the true character" of the Lebanese militant group and its role in the terror attacks across the globe.
"Two (perpetrators of the attack) were members of the militant wing of Hezbollah," Bulgaria's Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov said earlier on Tuesday.
"The Bulgarian findings announced today are clear: Hezbollah was directly responsible for the atrocity," Netanyahu said in a statement.
